For our training we have chosen experienced teachers with varied backgrounds. Some have business backgrounds in addition to being native speakers and qualified teachers, and will use their own experiences to make the training relevant, interesting and fun for the students.
Matt has more than 15 years of experience as a teacher with adults and children. He qualified with a Bachelor of Education at the Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. He has taught in Australia, the Bahamas and Japan, and has been teaching in Myanmar since August 2015. Matt currently teaches for Takeoff Learning in Nay Pyi Taw.
Dawn has previously worked in the private sector amongst others in the banking industry. She has been in charge of customer service operations. She has taught English to disadvantaged youths in South Africa and is now teaching Business English in Yangon. She is currently the chief school administrator at the Kindergarten Montessori School Myanmar.
English and Microsoft Office teacher
Jingyi has part of her education from the English Department at Dalian University in China. She also has a Bachelor’s degree with concentration on international finance from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. She has worked at Yihai Kerry Investment Company Limited and Deloitte and Touche, and has been teaching English at her previous workplaces. She has been teaching English at Takeoff Learning since May 2016.
Helen has a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualification from IH Sydney from 2014. In Myanmar she has taught English at Shwe Sa Bwe Restaurant, PSI Myanmar, Green Island Pre-School and Pronto Reality. She also has a background from photography, publishing and sales. She has been teaching English at Takeoff Learning since June 2016.
Majka has education in English and pedagogy from Bratislava and in English from London, and she has a certificate in ELT (English Language Training). She has lived several years in South Africa with her family, and is practically a native speaker. She has been working as an educator/assistant teacher/teacher since 1997, primarily in kindergarten and primary school. She currently teaches conversational English at the Australian Dream College in Yangon. She has taught English at Takeoff Learning since March 2016.
Kate Maree Kutza
Kate is an Australian native speaker. She has an advanced diploma of Screen and Media, a Sunday School Teaching Certification, a Diploma of Theology for Evangelism and education in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. She has taught various courses at Bible School for four years, IT and English at a high school and a primary school in India. Presently she teaches English at the New Generation Orphanage Centre and Business and Conversational English at the Australian Dream College in Yangon. She has been teaching English at Takeoff Learning since May 2016.
